Two Brothers Cafe & Pizzeria
Hand-tossed NY-style pizza meets authentic Bosnian comfort food on Hilton Avenue
The Place
Two Brothers Cafe & Pizzeria sits on the corner of Hilton and Arthur in Utica, across from Proctor High School and around the corner from MVCC. It took over the former Campus Inn Pizza space with new owners, a fresh look, and a menu that does something you don’t see every day: hand-tossed New York-style pizza and authentic Bosnian comfort food under the same roof. The restaurant is clean, the staff is consistently praised as friendly and attentive, and the owners make the rounds to check in on guests.
The Food
The pizza side delivers exactly what you want. Thin-crust, hand-tossed, available by the slice for $2 or as full pies in 14” and 18” sizes. The chicken bacon ranch pizza is a regular favorite on DoorDash. Wings, hot subs, pasta (including chicken riggies), calzones, and fried dough round out the classic pizzeria menu. The Nutella fried dough is the number one most-liked item on delivery apps.
But the real surprise is the Balkan side of the menu. The burek — a meat-filled phyllo pie with perfectly seasoned ground meat wrapped in stretchy, chewy dough — is the second most-ordered item on delivery and gets five-star reviews from anyone who tries it. The cevapi comes served on homemade lepinja bread with sour cream, diced onion, and a red pepper sauce that reviewers can’t stop talking about. One food writer who discovered Two Brothers at the NYS State Fair tracked down the restaurant afterward just to eat there again. The mixed grill platter is another popular order, and the cheese burek is a hit for anyone who loves savory pastry done right.
Worth Knowing
Prices are low: most items fall under $20, and the pizza-and-wing combo specials are hard to beat. They do dine-in, takeout, pickup, and delivery through DoorDash and Slice. Whether you’re a pizza person or a burek person, Two Brothers gives you a reason to be both.
