The Place

Crust Kitchen & Bar in Rome was born from what started as a joke — the owners fantasizing during morning prep about what their perfect restaurant would be. Turns out they were onto something. Established in 2021, Crust is the result of countless vent sessions, learning the hard way, and yes, plenty of bourbon. The mission is simple: amazing sandwiches, soups, and salads in a laid-back atmosphere. They deliver.

The Food

Every sandwich is hand-crafted with fresh, quality ingredients. The menu is a sandwich lover’s dream. The Negotiator is a fried chicken cutlet loaded with provolone, roasted red peppers, smoked bacon, fresh basil, mayo, and spicy Calabrian chili spread, drizzled with honey on toasted ciabatta. The Caprese goes classic Italian: prosciutto di parma, fresh mozzarella, tomato, lettuce, coarse sea salt, fresh cracked pepper, and balsamic glaze on crusty baguette. The Cuban features braised pulled pork, smoked pork loin, Swiss cheese, white wine dijon mustard, and pickles on toasted ciabatta. The menu also runs soups and salads for good measure.

The Bar

Crust isn’t just a sandwich shop. The bourbon bar is a point of pride, with an impressive selection including E.H. Taylor Jr. Single Barrel and James E. Pepper 1776. They take their curation seriously. Pair your sandwich with a craft cocktail or choose from the wine list, which includes options like Chateau St. Michelle.
