Auburn Diner
Old-school all-day breakfast in Auburn, where the regulars get greeted by name
The Place
Auburn Diner has been a local fixture at 64 Columbus Street since it opened its doors, earning a reputation as a warm, welcoming spot that feels like home. Step inside and you’re transported back in time with classic diner aesthetics — nostalgic decor, comfortable booths, and that unmistakable community atmosphere where regulars are greeted by name. Servers like Kim, Mary, Tiffany, and Donna bring a unique mix of professionalism and humor to every visit, making even first-timers feel like part of the family.
The Food
Breakfast is the main event and runs all day. Fluffy omelettes come with country-style potatoes; savory sausage patties arrive on biscuits smothered in rich gravy; golden pancakes, perfectly cooked hash browns, and home fries round out a deep morning lineup. The signature Avocado Bowl — a massive portion filled with wholesome ingredients — has become a customer favorite. The kitchen doesn’t stop at breakfast, though. Lunch and dinner bring hearty sandwiches (the hot turkey sandwich with crispy fries is a local legend), generous club sandwiches, juicy burgers, and satisfying American classics. Every dish arrives hot, fresh, and in portions that deliver excellent value.
Worth Knowing
Even during peak weekend hours, the hardworking staff keeps things moving fast while maintaining that personal touch. The diner is especially welcoming to families with kids, going above and beyond to ensure young diners are comfortable. Open daily from 6am to 2pm, until 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Reservations recommended for larger parties on weekends.
