Happy Friday, 315!

Whether you're celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, both, or neither, we wish you the happiest of holidays and sincerely hope you're able to enjoy some family time, or plain old rest and relaxation! Make sure you've got your ugly sweater at the ready, because there are a lot of festivities in the 315 this week. Catch a performance of the Nutcracker, go see It's a Wonderful Life, or enjoy some classical music at a holiday concert. Still need to do some last-minute shopping? Don't worry, it's not too late to swing by one of many holiday markets to find the perfect gifts for friends and family!

This weekend is the winter solstice - an exciting time of year, as the darkest days will soon be behind us! You can celebrate with a candlelit forest walk, a yoga class and sound immersion, or even a tarot reading. This time of year can be hectic, so be sure to treat yourself to something enjoyable - whether it's live music, a restorative yoga session, a sound bath, or a cake decorating class. And remember to show a little extra kindness to everyone - that's what the holiday season is all about!

Thank you so much to our awesome subscribers, and if you're new here, welcome! Be sure to share our events with your friends, and as always, follow our Instagram and Facebook to stay in the know.

Santangelo's Restaurant (Liverpool)

This Italian family restaurant is a wonderful place to enjoy the holidays, whether you're bringing small children, a large party, or looking for somewhere to dine on Christmas Day! Santangelo's has been a Liverpool favorite since 1986, when it was founded as the lifetime dream of Sam, Sally, and Guilio Santangelo.

Built by the Santangelo family and friends, this beloved establishment is based on the generosity and flavors of Grandma's kitchen, combined with recipes from chefs Guilio Santangelo and Michael DeSalis. The restaurant features a rustic European setting with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like a second home. Walk through the almost labyrinthine set of dining rooms and you'll be greeted by friendly, competent staff who are never intrusive.

The menu showcases delicious Italian cuisine alongside fresh steak, veal, and homemade desserts. You can't go wrong with their famous garlic bread, fresh caprese salad, or the crowd-favorite rigatoni a la vodka. Don't miss the light, crispy calamari served with three dipping sauces (marinara, balsamic, and cocktail), Grandma's famous chicken soup from a cherished family recipe, or the tender chicken abruzzi. For something heartier, try the eggplant parmesan, veal marsala, or chicken parmigiana.

The restaurant is known for creating several homemade sauces that can be purchased by the quart to take home. With a full bar featuring specialty cocktails and an extensive wine selection, plus those irresistible cannolis for dessert, Santangelo's delivers the complete Italian dining experience.

Perfect for special occasions, Santangelo's offers facilities for rehearsal dinners, showers, weddings, birthday parties, and anniversaries. They also provide off-site catering to bring their rustic Italian dishes to your home or event.

Open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Saturday, 4pm-9pm (until 11pm on Saturday). Located at 673 Old Liverpool Road in Liverpool. Reservations recommended!
