What’s going on, 315!

Can you believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away? It seems like Halloween just happened! Whether you’re traveling for the holiday or staying in the 315, we hope you have an enjoyable Turkey Day! For those without any plans, don’t worry - we’ve got you covered! We’ve found plenty of Thanksgiving Dinner events around CNY, as well as a Turkey Trot, a bar hop, and a Thanksgiving Night pajama party.

This week, we’ve got more live music, from Trey Anastasio Band in Syracuse to a Def Leppard tribute show in Utica, and everything in between! Holiday markets abound this time of year, so don’t forget to start shopping for loved ones before it’s too late. We’ve also got a chili cook-off, painting classes, sound baths, trivia nights, a Christmas tree festival, and an Owl Prowl. So grab some friends, or go solo and make some new connections!

Fall 2025 Steeple Coffeehouse Season

Fall 2025 Steeple Coffeehouse Season

Twenty years ago, several UCF members conceived the idea to provide Central N.Y. musicians a venue for local audiences to enjoy music while also raising funds to serve the Fayetteville-Manlius community. From this idea, Steeple Coffee House was born. At SCH, you can hear CNY favorites and SAMMY award-winning artists playing a range of genres, including bluegrass, folk, jazz, and classic rock’n roll. Seventy percent of SCH funds raised go towards paying the local musicians with the remaining 30% supporting UCF and its

Mission/Outreach ministries, such as the FM Food Pantry. The Coffee House is fully supported and staffed by volunteers.

Concerts held at United Church of Fayetteville’s Fellowship Hall
Beverages and desserts are included.

Gilda’s (Skaneateles)

Gilda's in Skaneateles serves delicious arancini and italian food

Tucked into the heart of picturesque Skaneateles village on the shores of Skaneateles Lake in the Finger Lakes region, Gilda’s is a cozy, intimate gem that's far more than just a pizza spot, it's a beloved local haunt for artisan thin-crust pizzas, inventive small plates, and a thoughtful selection of wines, craft beers, and sangria. Standouts include the fried arancini (creamy risotto balls that customers rave about), tender veal meatballs in a rich sauce, and wood-fired pizzas topped with house-made fennel sausage, fresh mushrooms, or classic Margherita ingredients, all crafted with high-quality, often local ingredients for that perfect blistered crust and bold flavors.

The welcoming, "Cheers"-like vibe, complete with candlelit tables, a small bar where you can watch the open kitchen, and friendly staff who make everyone feel at home—pairs beautifully with the shareable menu, making it ideal for a casual date, gathering with friends, or a relaxed evening out. With consistent praise for its fresh, made-from-scratch dishes and accommodations for dietary needs (including vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked), Gilda’s earns its spot as a standout in the 315's dining scene, drawing lines for its unpretentious yet elevated Italian-inspired fare.
